Ante-natal Classes

We offer a wide range of classes and workshops to keep you healthy, strong and empowered throughout your pregnancy, birth and beyond.

pregnancy yoga

We have adapted these classes in 2010, and since doing so we have had some great feedback.

Yoga is one of the best forms of exercise during pregnancy, a gentle, safe means of keeping toned and supple without strain, of keeping aches and pains at bay and energy flowing, of relaxing mind and body, and preparing for the physical demands of childbirth – and motherhood itself. Classic postures, rhythmical sequences and movements, integrating the flow of the breath at all times have been carefully adapted to the needs of pregnant women.

Class is suitable for ladies from 13/14 weeks all the up to the end of your pregnancy

Our Advice

Generally speaking it is safe to start pregnancy Yoga from as early as 6/8 weeks. However, we recommend that ladies start after their first consultation/scan at about 13/14 weeks. Please refer to your doctor or midwife first before embarking on your yoga course if you have any queries about your particular medical circumstances.

Women in full time employment are entitled to paid time off work to attend prenatal yoga classes. These are covered by the category 'antenatal appointments and relaxation and parent craft classes'. We encourage students to exercise their right to this time off work.
