As you progress in your practice, you will develop physical strength and emotional strength that will help you handle the challenges of life with a balanced disposition.

ashtanga yoga

Ashtanga Yoga is an intensive hatha yoga practice with focus on strength, stamina and flexibility. The traditional system, as taught by Sri K. Patthabi Jois, is renowned for its vinyasa (movement-breathing system) style.

This style of yoga synchronizies the breath with movement and postures. With current breathing, you will produce internal heat which can detoxify muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind. A sequence of asanas (positions) are taught in a specified order which give the body a physical workout connected with rhythmic breathing, bandhas (internal energy locks), and dristi (precise gazing points) – helping one to attain a focused practice bringing about the union of body and mind, one of the ultimate goals of yoga.

For the beginner, it is a unique challenging fitness system. With further practice, it is a meditative flow, deeply effecting your energy level.

kundalini yoga

Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of Awareness. It is a complete science that includes breath (pranayam), yoga postures (asanas), sound, (mantra) and meditation. It is designed to provide you with the experience of your highest consciousness through the raising of your Kundalini.

In this class, we will be working through specific Kriyas to affect the connections between mind, body and spirit. Each class functions as a personal process, providing a space for the attendee to confront their personal blocks, whether they are physical, mental or emotional.

With Kundalini Yoga you can build a healthy body, develop a balanced mind, make contact with your infinity, your innate inner wisdom as well as open the door so that you can exceed your full potential.
