Women's Wellbeing Masterclass – Tapping the Power of the Feminine: 24th & 31st July 2017 with Jenni Stone Mon, 31 Jul 2017 at 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

We excited to bring you a new masterclass just for woman! Do you find challenges with peaks and dips of energy and emotions? Do you sometimes feel like superwoman and other times like you want to hide under the duvet? Perhaps sometimes you feel life is beautiful and you are tolerant and understanding and at other times you rage against injustice or are overwhelmed by the problems of the world. Rest assured this is normal and you are not alone! Jenni has spent over 16 years working in the field of complementary healthcare and personal development, the majority of my experience having been with woman through all stages of their lives. This work has been developed through the journeys of Jenni’s clients and her own experience with pregnancy and postnatal recovery, that denial or suppression of the feminine is a key factor in the issues women face with their physical and mental health. As women we are often told that our body, our hormones, our emotions are a problem or a weakness. Your body however is not the enemy! This view is that women’s health problems are often the by-product of not honouring the cycles and powers of the feminine. In addition to this, medical and social attempts to control these issues create further problems by unbalancing our systems further. In this two-part masterclass, Jenni will share with you how we can live more in tune with ourselves and our environment by honouring our bodies and the natural cycles of life. You will learn how to have more energy, manage your stress, improve your pelvic health, detox your home, create your own yoga practice, and tap into your intuition to find answers to questions in your life!
Part 1
Will be based on theory and self-exploration. As women our energies and strengths are not linear but cyclical. The best evidence of this for many women is our monthly cycle, but there are daily, yearly and life time cycles that interact with this too. We will look at how these cycles move within women throughout our lives and how they form and reflect our inner ecosystem. Maintaining this inner ecosystem is crucial to our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing and allows us to tap into our powers of creativity, intuition and wisdom. We will also look at lifestyle factors that affect this balance such as stress, sleep, diet, environmental toxins and synthetic hormones. This workshop will help you understand your unique cycles and what you need to thrive and live life fully.

Part 2
Will be a practical yoga class that looks at how we can apply the information learned in part 1 to our own yoga practice. We will look at underlying principles of self-care and learn specific practises to help you create your own personalized yoga programme so that wherever you are in life right now, you will be able to nurture yourself. My belief that is our yoga practice should fit us as individuals rather forcing ourselves to fit an idea of how yoga ‘should’ be practiced. In this workshop we will look at how to honour your cycle in your regular yoga class and also learn specific practises to nurture woman throughout our lives. This will include practises for a healthy pelvic floor, practises to support menstruation, practises to embrace menopause as well as restorative poses and yoga nidra.

Baby Yoga is a fantastic way to support your baby's development by improving muscle strength and tone, co ordination, and balance. It is also a wonderful way to bond with your baby and have fun together. It encourages instinctive parenting and promotes many well- used techniques for calming, soothing and reassuring baby, as well as sleeping better.

Baby Yoga sessions use fun rhymes and songs to help you learn the simple movements and to help relax baby. This course includes post-natal yoga and tummy tonning exercises for mummy!

Class is suitable for babies from 2 months to crawling.

Self-love is so important to our wellbeing, and this is something I have only recently come to terms with myself. I chose the image above because it shows genuine emotion, something we can be afraid to show. How connected are you to your heart centre, to your true being? Are you a priority in your life? What most of us don't realise is that we forget to make any time for ourselves. Most of the time we are too busy giving to others, whether it is work, family or friends. Of course this is a good thing, giving and being kind, but imagine all that energy you use up, when do you replenish it? It often leads to us being tired and feeling quite low because believe it or not you have neglected the most important person in your life - YOU. We have to be full in our hearts in order to give to others. Self-Love is the basis of all happiness in each of us and once we have that we can truly be ourselves. This workshop will give you tools to find a connection to you, so that you feel whole, this in turn will allow you to give without feeling depleted.

Come and join me for a 2 hour journey connecting to your true essence - your heart. We will work with the breath, affirmations, a mindful flow, a wonderful relaxation & meditation. You will be able to take elements of the workshop and carry on with them at home, I will be providing everyone with a mini guide to do this. Take some time for you, a little bit of self-care goes a long way. Let me share my tips and tools of what has helped me on my own journey to loving myself. This will be a wonderful way to end and start the week.

It's standard practice to pop a pill when we're in pain, doctors even tell you to do it. But if you knew a way to heal your pain and actually make it last, wouldn't you rather do that? With proper alignment through yoga and Pilates you can learn to heal yourself and pop a pose instead of a pill!
This 2 hour workshop will start with a self analysis of the body and then you will learn some simple and worthwhile sequences that can aid you in healing your body. It will be a unique experience to learn something new about yourself that will take you on a journey to self love and happiness.

Demistifying the Handstand – a handstand workshop with Guillermo Justel. with Guillermo Just Sun, 17 Sep 2017 at 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Join Guillermo in this workshop and go through the theory and practice of standing on your hands. We'll explore the concept of 'the line'; go through core and alignment conditioning drills; break down balancing exercises on and off the wall to maximise their efficiency and ensure no bad habits are formed; kicking up to handstand, pressing up to handstand progressions; cartwheeling out of a handstand, proper spotting techniques...

Guillermo has had a committed handbalancing practice for over six years and has been teaching handstands over three. He has learned and trained with international handbalancing artists such as Yuval Ayalon, Mikael Kristiansen, Valerie Doucet, Nicolas Montes de Oca, Imogen Huzel and more. He pays yearly visits to octogenarian handbalance master Claude Victoria in the East of France and at the moment is currently developing his new solo show under the guidance of Tom Weksler.
