We Love Beginners



There are many different styles of yoga: some which are more intense and vigorous, whilst others are more relaxing and meditative. There is no style better than another, it is a matter of personal preference. If you have never tried yoga before and have no idea where to start. Here is a little helping hand:


1)  Ashtanga Yoga - These classes can be physically challenging. We follow a set sequence and you move with your breath. You will soon feel the lightness that yoga provides and this practice becomes more meditative through its movement. This is a hot, sweaty, physically demanding practice.


2)  Hatha Yoga - Most styles of yoga have branched out from Hatha Yoga. This is generally a good place to start for beginners. Some classes ╩╗flow╩╝ through one pose to another. This type of class gives you a good grounding into the the yoga postures and breathing practices. You will float out more relaxed. 


3)  Iyengar Yoga - This style is very meticulous as a lot of attention paid is paid to finding the proper alignment in a pose. Lots of props are used. This style of yoga was developed by BKS Iyengar. This is a good class for those with an injury or chronic condition. All teachers undergo a comprehensive training, so probably your best choice to insure you get the knowledgeable instruction you need. 


4)  Kundalini Yoga - This is one of the more spiritual types of yoga. It goes beyond the physical performance of poses with its emphasis on breathing, meditation, mudras and chanting. However, the Kundalini sequences can be very physically intense. This type of yoga appeals to those who are up for both mental and physical challenges.

Tuesday 8.30-9.30pm Hatha Flow

Wednesday 12.30-1.30pm Yoga Gently

 7.15-8.15pm Yoga

Thursday 8.15-9.30pm Hatha Yoga

Saturday 10-11am Yoga Fusion

Saturday 11.05 - 12.20 Slow Flow

Sunday 9.30-10.30 am Hatha Yoga
